5. Reason for this curriculum action This course has not been offered at MCC for many
years, and cannot be taught without a specialized darkroom facility. MCC's darkroom is
outdated and located in a space that is not accessible to students or appropriate for
teaching. If MCC decides to offer this class again, a new darkroom will need to be located,
equipment moved from the old space into the new facility, and new equipment purchased.
The art faculty will reintroduce the course to the curriculum committee at a later date if such
a facility is developed.
