Examples of grants include Tertiary Education Commission funding of industry training and Modern Apprenticeship Programmes, Lotteries Grant, Community Organisation Grant. Grants do not include beneficiary payments, ACC payments or other similar payments to individuals. Grants are typified by payment in return for the delivery of a product or service usually to the community, and which the government agency will monitor, evaluate, and report on. Evidence of administering one grant to at least two providers is required. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by the Qualifications Authority before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
