Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Explore the use of caucusing in mediation. Evidence requirements 1.1 Advantages and disadvantages of caucusing in mediation are described. 1.2 Exploration includes examining the timeliness of caucusing. 1.3 Exploration includes the process of negotiation with the parties in caucus. 1.4 Examination identifies strategies for the use of the information gained in caucusing. Outcome 2 Examine the arguments for and against caucusing in specific mediation scenarios. Range evidence is required of arguments for and against caucusing in two different mediation scenarios. Evidence requirements 2.1 Examination identifies when caucusing may assist or benefit the mediation process. Outcome 3 Manage caucusing in mediation. Evidence requirements 3.1 Management demonstrates the use of caucusing during mediation and how it changes the process. 3.2 Management includes the structuring of caucus sessions to maximise benefits.
