Performance criteria 1.1 The explanation includes an overview of the legislation framework that applies to the seafood operation. 1.2 The explanation includes an outline of the codes of practice that apply to the seafood operation and their relationship with the seafood operation’s Risk Management Programme. 1.3 The explanation includes an overview of the seafood operation’s own RMP. Range 1.4 document location, scope, contents. The explanation includes the process the company uses to implement new or amended legislative requirements. Element 2 Explain the responsibilities and procedures included in the seafood operation’s RMP. Performance criteria 2.1 The explanation includes the designations of personnel with responsibilities under the RMP and includes an outline of the roles of these personnel. Range 2.2 The explanation includes the responsibilities and procedures for required notifications in accordance with legislation. Range 2.3 includes but is not limited to – change of operator, recall of product, change of day-to-day manager, new hazards, certain operational matters, change of verifying agency. The explanation includes the responsibilities and procedures for the operation and maintenance of the RMP in accordance with legislation. Range 2.4 operator, day-to-day manager, personnel performing, monitoring, corrective action, operator verification. includes but is not limited to – validation, document control, authorisation of the RMP, amendments, corrective action for unforeseen circumstances. Range RMP assessment, RMP registration, RMP verification. Element 3 Explain the verification of the seafood operation’s RMP. Performance criteria 3.1 The explanation includes an outline of the operator verification and external verification required for the RMP in accordance with legislation. 3.2 The explanation includes an outline of the operator verification programme implemented by the seafood operation. 3.3 The explanation identifies the seafood operation’s selected external verifier, and includes an outline of verifier rights and responsibilities. Please note Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
