Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Set up and assist with equipment calibration for hydrographic surveying operations. Evidence requirements 1.1 Survey brief is confirmed with the hydrographer. Range equipment includes: tidal equipment, positioning and depth measurement equipment, sampling equipment. Outcome 2 Gather, process and generate data. Evidence requirements 2.1 While gathering data ongoing accuracy checks of data capturing equipment are undertaken. 2.2 Data is gathered and the acquisition process monitored as per brief. 2.3 Acquisition records are prepared and maintained as per brief. 2.4 Data is processed into a useable dataset under the direction of a hydrographer. 2.5 Data is generated into a deliverable as per the brief, under the direction of the hydrographer. Outcome 3 Demobilise and contribute to final report. Evidence requirements 3.1 Demobilisation requirements for equipment and vessel are confirmed and candidate assists with demobilisation. 3.2 Contribution is made to the final report as directed by the hydrographer. Providers and Industry Training Organisations, which have been granted consent and which are assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
