Service may include but is not limited to – early childhood centres, home based early childhood educational programmes. Fijian way refers to the way things are done according to cultural traditions which are handed down through generations. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Describe and implement stories, myths, and legends in a Fijian early childhood service. Range evidence is required of three stories, three myths, and three legends. Evidence requirements 1.1 Stories, myths, and legends are described in relation to their meaning and application. 1.2 Stories, myths, and legends are implemented in accordance with the organisation’s protocol and the traditional Fijian way. Outcome 2 Develop and implement, using a thematic approach, a Fijian game, song, and dance which support children’s learning and development in a Fijian early childhood service. Evidence requirements 2.1 The game, song, and dance are developed in the traditional Fijian way. 2.2 The game, song, and dance are implemented in accordance with a theme. 2.3 The game, song, and dance are implemented in accordance with the traditional Fijian way. 2.4 The choice of game, song, and dance supports children’s learning and development.
