People credited with this unit standard are able to explain the structures and functions of the systems in the body, and apply anatomical and physiological knowledge to the embalming process. Range 1.2 The circulatory and lymphatic systems are explained in terms of their importance to embalming. Outcome 2 Apply anatomical and physiological knowledge to the embalming process. Evidence requirements 2.1 The arterial sites used for injecting embalming fluid are identified and located during the embalming process. 2.2 The venous sites used for draining venous fluid are identified and located during the embalming process. 2.3 The organs treated during the embalming process are identified and located during the embalming process.
