Purpose
This unit standard is for people who work in the industrial textile
fabrication industry. People credited with this unit standard are
able to: identify the repair required; select material to make the
repair; and make the repair.

Definition

Method for making repair is determined in accordance with company
requirements.
Range
replace damaged panel, darn, patch, darn and patch, hot weld,
sew, adhesive.
3.2
Equipment to carry out the repair is selected in accordance with company
requirements.
3.3
Product is repaired by selected method in accordance with company
requirements.
3.4
Section of product repaired is checked for function in accordance with company
and customer requirements.
3.5
Safe working practices are carried out throughout the task in accordance with
legislative requirements.
