People credited with this unit standard are able to grade green skins, and remove and replace skin product containers, in a fellmongery or leather processing operation. Customer specifications – product specifications set by the customer relating to materials, processes and practices. Organisational requirements – instructions to staff on policies and procedures which are documented in memo, electronic or manual format and are available in the workplace. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Grade green skins in a fellmongery or leather processing operation. Evidence requirements 1.1 Green skins are graded to company and customer specifications. 1.2 Graded green skins are separated, identified, and placed in containers in accordance with organisational requirements. Evidence requirements 2.1 Skin product containers are removed and replaced in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.2 Skin product containers are identified in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.3 Green skins are transferred for further processing in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.4 Details of graded green skins are recorded in accordance with organisational requirements and customer specifications.
