Strategic purpose statement
The purpose of this qualification is to provide competent and
experienced people to the marine sector, who are able to
manage marine projects on either new builds, or refits of vessels.
This qualification is for experienced marine practioners who wish
to specialise in managing complex projects for the new build or
refit of marine vessels.
Outcome Statement
Graduate profile
Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

lead, manage, and recruit a team; and manage resources for
complex marine projects

apply advanced knowledge of boat design and construction,
engineering, and electrical-electronic systems, to solve
problems for complex marine projects

generate and utilise marine project plans to manage a
complex marine project to completion

apply financial and time management strategies to meet
organisation or client expectations for a complex marine
project
-
apply advanced knowledge of health and safety practices,
risk assessment and management, environmental and
legislative requirements, regulations and classification, to
ensure compliance and manage organisation practices for a
complex marine project.
Graduates of the New Build qualifier must achieve all outcomes
in a new build context.
Graduates of the Refit qualifier must achieve all outcomes in a
refit context.
