NZQA registered unit standard 26796 version 1 Page 1 of 4 Title Prepare and process infrastructure works project documentation Level 5 Purpose Credits 8 This unit standard is designed for supervisors working in the infrastructure works industry who are responsible for preparing and processing project documentation for infrastructure works projects. People credited with this unit standard are able to: select and prepare documentation for an infrastructure works project, and process infrastructure works project documents. Classification Infrastructure Works > Infrastructure Works Supervision Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 The following legislation must be complied with: Construction Contracts Act 2002; and Health and Safety in Employment Regulations 1995. 2 Assessment against this unit standard must take place in a workplace environment. Assessment parameters will depend on company and site specific equipment, procedures, and practices. Practices must reflect industry best practice and comply with legislative requirements. 3 Definitions Company requirements include the policy, procedures, and methodologies of the company. They include legislative and regulatory requirements which may apply across the company or to a specific site. Requirements are documented in the company’s health and safety plans, traffic management plans, contract work programmes, quality assurance programmes, policies, and procedural documents. Contract specifications include plans, diagrams, and special technical conditions. They do not include special administrative conditions. Evidence requirements 1.1 Recording requirements are determined and documents selected for infrastructure works project in accordance with company requirements. Range 1.2 Health and safety, and environmental documents are prepared for use on site in accordance with company requirements. Range 1.3 may include – test results, environmental controls. Contract documents are prepared for use on site in accordance with company requirements. Range 1.5 may include – induction, site safety meeting, consents, incident report, notifiable works, permits, visitors log, public notification, traffic management plan, road opening notice. Quality assurance documents are prepared for use on site in accordance with company requirements. Range 1.4 requirements may include – contract specifications, clients instructions, accident and incident register. may include – drawings, variations, subcontractor control, records of hire or lease, programme. Work documents are prepared for use on site in accordance with company requirements. Range may include – plant records, timesheets, tally dockets, job instructions, site diary, site audit. Outcome 2 Process infrastructure works project documents. Evidence requirements 2.1 Completed site records are collected and verified in accordance with company requirements and contract specifications. 2.2 Documents are collated and kept in order for use during the project in accordance with company requirements and contract specifications.
