Evidence requirements
2.1
Methodology used complies with relevant published standards and/or
recognised conventions, including cost categorisation.
examples of published standards are – AS 2561, BS 6000, ASQ
Guides;
cost categorisation – controllable and non-controllable costs,
prevention, appraisal and failure costs (internal and external),
discretional and non-discretional costs.
Range
2.2
Customisation of methodology to specific workplace situations identifies feasible
sources of valid data.
Outcome 3
Interpret the results of quality cost analysis.
Evidence requirements
3.1
Analysis and interpretation of information maintains its validity and matches task
requirements.
3.2
Results are analysed so that opportunities for improvement are identified.
3.3
The appropriateness of the use of quality cost analysis is reviewed in the light of
the outcomes.
