Performance criteria 1.1 Weak battens are identified and rejected. 1.2 Battens are installed according to fence design. 1.3 Staples are skewed, staggered, and driven in tight so that wire is indented, and all bent or protruding staples are removed and replaced. 1.4 Battens are evenly spaced between posts, square to wire, with no breakages left on fence, height consistent with post height, and with wire spacing maintained according to fence design. 1.5 Batten above stay and under stay is trimmed to stay angle. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
