People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe ethical behaviour in and around customers’ property for plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying services; and describe service provider’s responsibilities in relation to provision of plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying services. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Describe ethical behaviour in and around customers’ property for plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying services. Evidence requirements 1.1 Reasons why the details of customers’ transactions and other private information are not divulged to any other party are identified in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. The Skills Organisation SSB Code 101554 New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 NZQA registered unit standard 1.2 Explanation of ethical conduct is given in terms of respect for customers’ privacy, property, and personal values. Range 1.3 21881 version 2 Page 2 of 3 personal values may include cultural values. Explanation of workplace practice, involving clean up following completion of a job, is given in terms of respect for customers’ property. Outcome 2 Describe service provider’s responsibilities in relation to provision of plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying services. Evidence requirements 2.1 Legislation is identified in terms of consumers’ rights and service providers’ obligations. 2.2 Service provider legal responsibilities relating to the services being provided are identified. Range 2.3 repair, return, replacement, refund, credit. Legal considerations relating to the provision of services are identified. Range 2.4 inferior quality, non-compliance. Service provider legal responsibilities relating to information given on services are identified. Range advertising, selling, servicing, conditions of warranties.
