Purpose
People credited with this unit standard are able to: calculate
and collect airport landing and parking fees for itinerant aircraft;
allocate airport stand and parking positions; and authorise an
aircraft engine test run at an airport.

Explanatory notes
1
Definition
The term airport refers to aerodrome as per Civil Aviation Rules.

Reference to enterprise procedures means that all activities must comply with the
requirements contained in the current airport exposition, current airport company
manuals and procedures, and any relevant legislative and/or regulatory
requirements, which may include but are not limited to: Civil Aviation Act 1990,
relevant Civil Aviation Rules, New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Policy.

Outcome 1
Calculate and collect airport landing and parking fees for itinerant aircraft.

1.1
Landing and parking fees are calculated in accordance with enterprise
procedures.
1.2
Collection of fees is in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Evidence requirements
2.1
Allocation of airport stand and parking positions are in accordance with apron
management plan contained in the airport exposition.
2.2
Airline preferences are addressed in allocation process in accordance with
enterprise procedures.
2.3
Allocation of airport stand and parking positions are recorded in accordance
with enterprise procedures.
2.4
Contingencies are provided for in the allocation process in accordance with
enterprise procedures.

Providers must be granted consent to assess against standards (accredited) by NZQA,
before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses
of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be granted consent to assess against standards by
NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
Providers and Industry Training Organisations, which have been granted consent and
which are assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that
applies to those standards.
