People credited with this unit standard are able to: interpret specifications; interpret plans and determine materials; and produce a sketch and cutting list for the production of glass, joinery, or joinery related items. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Interpret specifications for the production of glass, joinery, or joinery related items. Evidence requirements 1.1 Requirements of relevant standards are identified and described in terms of their impact on the production of glass, joinery or joinery related items. 1.2 Requirements are matched to the job brief and any variances recorded in accordance with workplace practice. Evidence requirements 2.1 Plans are analysed to determine the quantity of materials required to meet the job brief. 2.2 Plans are matched against the job brief and any variances recorded in accordance with workplace practice. 2.3 Materials required for the job are listed, costed and agreed with the customer in accordance with workplace practice. Outcome 3 Produce a sketch and cutting list for the production of glass, joinery, or joinery related items. Evidence requirements 3.1 Plans are analysed to determine the requirements for the sketch and to meet the job brief. 3.2 Sketch is produced and matched against the job brief, and any variances recorded in accordance with workplace practice. 3.3 A cutting list is drawn up in accordance with workplace practice.
