This unit standard is for supervisors who are employed in the
packaging department in a meat processing plant and who are
required to set up and download product information to carton
scales and labelling machinery.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: set up meat
product specification details; download product information to
terminal scales and semi-automatic labelling machinery;
demonstrate team-work; and comply with organisational and
statutory hygiene and safety requirements.

Organisational requirements – instructions to staff on policies and procedures which
are documented in memo, electronic or manual format and are available in the
workplace.

Product order numbers are set up in the computer system in accordance with
company and customer specifications.

with organisational requirements.

Product details are checked for compliance, in accordance with organisational
requirements and customer specifications.

Programming faults are identified and corrective action taken in accordance
