This entry level unit standard is for people who are employed in the further processing department in meat processing plants who are required to set up and operate tray packaging equipment.

People credited with this unit standard are able to: carry out pre-operational checks on tray packaging equipment in the meat processing industry; set up and operate tray packaging equipment in the meat processing industry; demonstrate teamwork; and comply with organisational and statutory hygiene and safety requirements.
