Peralta Community College District Board Policy 3.03 [Recommend eliminating BP 3.03, as it has been replaced by BP 3.11—EEO Policy] Policy 3.03 Affirmative Action Policy The Peralta Community College District, as a group of public institutions of higher education and vocational training, is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity through a continuing employment affirmative action program. In keeping with this commitment, the District promotes faculty and staff diversity, which are in addition to the non-discrimination requirements of State and Federal law and the Board Policies prohibiting unlawful discrimination and discriminatory harassment toward employees. In order to accomplish the objectives of equal employment opportunity through an employment affirmative action program, we are establishing the District's written Faculty and Staff Diversity Plan pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Section 53003. This Plan will be administered by the Chancellor and implemented and monitored by the Director of Affirmative Action. The Faculty and Staff Diversity Plan is developed and adopted to implement Board Policy 3.03 and the District's commitment to equal employment opportunity through an employment affirmative action program.
