NOTICE INVITING BIDS
The Peralta Community College District is calling for sealed bids for the District-Wide
Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System, Bid No., 11-12/21) to be delivered to
the Purchasing Department, at 501 5th Avenue, Oakland, California, 94606, until 2:00
p.m., on June 19, 2012.
This is a Public Works project and will require payment of prevailing wages. Bidders at
the time of the Bid Opening and for the duration of the project shall possess a valid
California Contractor's license: Class C-10 (or C-7 with a listed C-10 sub-contractor).
This project includes the replacement of existing Access Control and Alarm Monitoring
System (ACAMS) field panels and power supplies; the procurement, installation, and
programming of new Lenel field panels and associated power supplies configured for
integration with the existing Lenel ACAMS; the conversion and programming of existing
functional field devices (including replacement of end-of-line resistors) to operate within
the existing Lenel ACAMS; and the procurement, installation, configuration, and
programming of new field devices, wire and conduit as defined by the drawings.
Because of the extensive integration requirements with the existing Lenel OnGuard
Enterprise ACAMS, the prime bidder must be listed as a Lenel VAR and must provide
Proof of Lenel Technical Certification with submission of sealed bids. Proof shall consist
of a copy of the Lenel Master Technician Certificate for each senior technician/project
manager that will be assigned to the project.
A mandatory bidders’ conference will be held on May 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the
District Admin Center, 333 E. 8th Street, Oakland, CA 94606. Meet at the General
