As the 21st century economy relies more on the
Internet, written communication becomes more
essential. Our classes are aimed at helping
students learn to effectively communicate in
writing - regardless of their cultural-linguistic
background. By stressing student responsibility,
we aim to prepare students for upper division
courses at the university level.
Transfer and Basic Skills: Describe how your
course offerings address transfer, basic skills, and
program completion.
The English department supports the college’s
strategic plan by helping to prepare students for
university transfer and for entry into
professional careers.
