These requirements include but are not limited to – site specific requirements, manufacturers’ specifications, product quality specifications, and legislative or regulatory requirements. Elements and performance criteria Element 1 Prepare to install, and install fittings for water reticulation. Performance criteria 1.1 Fittings are selected in accordance with the job and specifications. 1.2 Isolated portion of reticulation system is drained in accordance with organisational procedures. 1.3 Fittings are checked for compatibility, prepared, assembled, and connected in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, and organisational procedures. 1.4 Pipe is cut in preparation for installation of fittings in accordance with organisational procedures. 1.5 Installation of fittings is carried out safely, hygienically, and in accordance with organisational procedures and manufacturer’s specifications. Element 2 Charge up the pipe line, and check for leaks and operation of the installed. Performance criteria 2.1 Pipe line is charged up in accordance with organisational procedures. 2.2 Air is bled from system in accordance with organisational procedures. 2.3 Visual check for leaks is carried out in accordance with organisational procedures. 2.4 Check of operation of installed fitting is carried out in accordance with organisational procedures.
