Vessel's deck equipment may include but is not limited
to: rigging, anchor, winches, cranes, derricks, and lifting
devices; forklifts; pumps, and pipeline systems; dry bulk
self-discharging systems; tank cleaning and draining
equipment; and hoists, unfixed tools, rope wire, winch
equipment, detachable auxiliary equipment, roll-on rolloff (RoRo) equipment including fork hoists, tractors,
ramps, and lifts.

The use of mechanised equipment complies with the manufacturer’s
recommendations for operation.
1.3
Action taken in the event of irregularities, damage, or defects reflects the
significance of the situation.
1.4
The degree of implementation of corrective action undertaken in the event of
irregularities, damage, or defects, reflects the level of competence of the crew.
1.5
Reporting and documentation relating to the preparation of deck equipment for
passage and cargo operations is clear, concise, and complete, and directed to
the supervising officer within the appropriate time frame.

supervising officer.

The handling and use of deck equipment are conducted in accordance with
