Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 This unit standard is expiring evidence required of two successful and two unsuccessful strategies. Range Evidence requirements 1.1 Analysis identifies and distinguishes successful and unsuccessful strategies. 1.2 Analysis specifies aspects of strategies which utilise the uniqueness of te ao Māori. Range aspects may include but are not limited to – design features, product and service features, promotional features. Evidence of any three aspects. Evidence requirements 2.1 Research describes the marketing environment and background relevant to the product or service. Range description could include – market segments, existing strategies classified by marketing mix, untapped potential, market history, administrative issues. 2.2 Research identifies existing impact of marketing and promotional strategies relevant to the product or service in relation to the uniqueness of te ao Māori. 2.3 Research identifies the potential for introducing or enhancing the uniqueness of te ao Māori in the marketing and promotional strategies used for a product or service. Outcome 3 Design a marketing and promotional strategy for a product or service which incorporates the uniqueness of te ao Māori. Evidence requirements 3.1 The strategy provides a situational analysis of the product or service and its strategic position. 3.2 The strategy identifies aspects of te ao Māori to be incorporated into marketing and promotion. 3.3 This unit standard is The strategy details objectives expiring of the marketing and promotional strategy. 3.4 The strategy provides strategic alternatives to meet the marketing and promotional objectives. 3.5 The strategy includes a marketing and promotional plan relevant to the product or service.
