Range: 1.3 Site plans, access systems and/or equipment designs, and drawings are interpreted in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range: 1.4 work specifications, hazards overhead and on-ground. Configurations, types, and quantities of components required for the task are estimated in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range: 1.5 counter weight and needle systems, roof loading, parapet walls. line diagrams, components appropriate to type of access equipment. Site information pertinent to tasks is obtained in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range: information includes but is not limited to – hazard prevention and/or control measures, access and egress, site sketches and dimensions. Range: regulatory permits, site conditions, involvement of other trades, client approvals. element 2 Prepare equipment for advanced industrial rope access work. performance criteria 2.1 Access system and/or equipment components appropriate to task are selected and confirmed free of damage. Damaged components are labelled and rejected in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range: components include but are not limited to – personal kit, fall arrest system, fall arrest equipment, proprietary tripods, proprietary needles, counterweight systems. 2.2 Rejected components are serviced or sent for repair, in accordance with enterprise procedures. 2.3 Tools are selected and inspected, and faulty tools repaired or sent for repair, in accordance with enterprise procedures.
