This qualification is intended for learners who are experienced aeronautical engineers, and who want to broaden their skills to include maintenance planning. The aeronautical engineering sector of the aviation industry will benefit through employment of staff knowledgeable and capable of planning the maintenance process of aircraft. Graduates will be equipped with a comprehensive set of skills relating to the administration and management of maintenance planning for an aviation engineering organisation. The last date for entry into programmes leading to the replaced qualification is 31 December 2018. The last date for assessment of the replaced qualification is 31 December 2020, at which time it will be designated as discontinued.
