John Kenneth White author biography John Kenneth White is a professor of politics at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He is the author of several books on American politics, including The New Politics of Old Values (about the presidency of Ronald Reagan published in 1988), Still Seeing Red: How the Cold War Shapes the New American Politics published in 1997 (a look at the politics of the Cold War era and how its end coincided with the victories of Bill Clinton), and The Values Divide: American Politics and Culture in Transition published in 2002 (which examined the division of the American electorate along values lines that resulted in the perfect tie of the 2000 Bush-Gore race). In addition, he has co-authored and edited numerous other books on American politics and the U.S. Presidency. John Kenneth White has also appeared on numerous television programs including This Week with David Brinkley, Lou Dobbs (CNN), other CNN, MSNBC, and C-SPAN programs. His analyses of contemporary politics have appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor, Hartford Courant, BBC, National Public Radio, and several other radio, television, and newspaper outlets.
