Teaching, Research, and Scholarship (TRS) Meeting
Minutes 3/17/04
Members in attendance: Dave Bender, Mary Hutchinson (Chair), Carl Lovitt, Daniel
Russell (Secretary), Scott Warnock
This was the sixth meeting of the TRS Committee for 2003-2004. We covered the
following agenda items:
1. Discussed Sample Format of Peer Review letters
Based on feedback from the Divisions changes were made to the peer review letter. In
addition, we decided a cover letter was needed to describe the expectations of a peer
reviewer. Mary Hutchinson agreed to make revisions to the peer review letter and draft
the cover letter for the committee.
2. Future Charges
Carl Lovitt requested that next year’s TRS committee, or appropriate committee under
new Senate structure, be charged with designing a more effective student comment sheet.
3. Next Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14th at 9 am in Thun 109. We plan
to finalize the peer review letter format and cover letter for submission to the Senate
Council.
