Date report published January 2011 Summary of review and consultation process This qualification was reviewed as part of Learning State Limited’s review schedule. To date there has been minimal usage of the qualification, with it only having been awarded once, which was in 2005. Consultation with the sector, which included the Ministry of Social Development, indicated that there was very little support for the continuation of this qualification. Also, the qualification is no longer achievable as it contains expired standards. As a result the qualification was designated expiring and was not replaced. Main changes resulting from the review The following qualification has been designated expiring and will expire at the end of February 2011. Therefore, no new programmes can be offered leading to its award. Learning State Limited is not aware of any existing candidates enrolled in programmes leading to the award of this qualification.
