Strategic purpose statement
This qualification aims to certify those students who have, with
self-direction, developed skills, knowledge, capabilities and
attitudes required to take command of their future direction in
further education and/or employment. A key factor in this context
is the Steiner/Waldorf curriculum for Year 13 which meets the
requirements of the New Zealand Curriculum.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

Education pathway
Graduates of this qualification with a University Entrance (UE)
endorsement will be eligible to apply for entry into any University
or Polytechnic in New Zealand. Graduates without UE will be
eligible for further training courses at the appropriate level.
Employment pathway
Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge
to seek employment in entry-level roles in various fields.

Qualification award
The Steiner Education Development Trust (SEDT) will award the
qualification to successful students.
The certificate will display the logos of the New Zealand
Qualifications Framework (NZQF) and the SEDT.

Evidence may include the following:

Programme statistics including retention, qualification
completion, graduate progression data, and learner
feedback.

Evidence from internal and external moderation processes
that graduates meet the graduate profile outcomes.

Graduate and/or stakeholder/end-user feedback on outcome
achievement.

To enrol in this qualification a student must have gained the New
Zealand Certificate of Steiner Education (Level 2) [Ref: 2938] or
equivalent.
General conditions for the programme leading to the qualification
General conditions for
programme
Programmes will be developed out of a Waldorf pedagogical
understanding within acceptable guidelines.
Programmes must explicitly build skills in literacy, numeracy,
digital literacy and learning.
Graduate profile outcomes should be integrated within and
across the programme and not taught as individual components.
Assessments must use relevant Learning Outcomes (LO) from
the approved programme documents supplied to accredited
providers.
At least one LO from each of the following disciplines must be
achieved to meet Core requirements:
