1
Assessment can occur in a workplace or in a training or educational establishment.
There are no requirements for simulated workplace conditions.

Definitions
Workplace refers to a place of paid or voluntary employment.
Workplace requirements refer to documented policies and procedures or established
protocols for workplace performance.

needed, for this unit standard:
Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 (HSE)
Employment Relations Act 2000
Holidays Act 2003.
Outcomes and evidence requirements
Outcome 1
Describe care and timeliness as an employee.
Evidence requirements
1.1
Personal presentation is described in terms of meeting workplace requirements
including those for safety.
Range
1.2
requirements may include – clothing, footwear, hair, make-up,
jewellery, personal hygiene, personal protective equipment;
evidence of at least five.
Behaviours that may lead to disciplinary action are described in accordance
with workplace requirements.

at least three are required.
1.3
Minimum personal obligations under the HSE are described in terms of health
and safety in accordance with workplace requirements.

Workplace practices as an employee are described in accordance with
workplace requirements.
Range
time management and punctuality, use of electronic devices,
breaks, personal appointments, absences, task/production
deadlines, care of equipment.
