The National Diploma in Hauora (Māori Health) (Level 6) [Ref: 1657] builds on the skills

This national diploma is intended for candidates who choose to further enhance their

hauora Māori employees; an analysis of the effectiveness of primary health care providers’

Māori placing themselves in at-risk situations; and research into traditional and
contemporary hauora practices.
The elective section allows candidates to further specialise in different aspects of Hauora
within Community and Social Services, Health, Humanities and Field Māori.
Tikanga pertinent to local rohe is interwoven through all practices of Hauora, including any
