To decide on: an appropriate Governance structure for the review(s); an appropriate
process for the review of these qualifications; a representative for the mainstream
Performing Arts Governance Group; an appropriate way to collect data to confirm the
need for the qualifications.
1. It was agreed that one group be established to Govern the Review and develop MPA
qualifications, and that a separate group be established for the review of the “Māori
Creative Arts” qualifications. (The two groups will maintain connected by holding hui
at the same time to allow for kōrero between the two).

2. It was agreed that Te Ngaruru Wineera would be the representative on the
mainstream Performing Arts review Governance Group

3. It was agreed that the group aim for 1 June 2013 to submit the qualifications for
pre-approval.

4. It was agreed to re-word, shorten, and re-distribute the MPA survey to gather
further information to contribute towards the needs analysis document.
5. Further stakeholders were identified. These are to be added to the Stakeholder
Profile and kept informed as the review progresses. They may also be able to
contribute information for the needs analysis document. The rōpū agreed to help
distribute surveys and other information our through their networks.
6. It was agreed that a template be developed to gather information from current
Providers re: their networks, how they consult, what they currently offer etc.
7. A draft Terms of Reference was developed for Ngā Toi – the Māori Performing Arts
Review group.
