OLD BUSINESS
EET #4
Minutes were tabled for several reasons. 1) The CUC needs verification of nonduplication for ISYE
250. Also for ISYE 250, the CUC wanted to be sure the course is for two (2) hours and also asks
that the other MATH courses eligible for the PRQ be listed or to add “consent of department” after
MATH 110. The use of “or higher” is too broad and would be programmed into MyNIU to included
every MATH course with a number greater than 110. To ensure that what the department wants to
have in the prerequisites will be easily programmable by MyNIU and not a barrier to students, they
should contact Registration and Records. 2) The CUC asks that the course “Lean Manufacturing
Systems” be put through as a new course, not a course revision to ISYE 450. In that case, you would
also need verification of nonduplication for the new course. 3) The Certificate of Undergraduate
Studies in Lean Six Sigma needs credit hours and a list of courses that meet the requirements for the
certificate.

Committee members considered these minutes via a virtual meeting. Millis made a motion,
seconded by Aase, to RECEIVE THE UNDERGRADUATE-LEVEL CURRICULAR ITEMS IN

was noted that for the Certificate in Undergraduate Studies in Lean Six Sigma that the hours (3) need
