Developmentally Appropriate Activities Term Project CDEC 1313 You will submit an assortment of 1 daily schedule, 1 classroom design, and 10 theme-related activities that are developmentally appropriate for one particular age (2’s, 3’s, 4’s) or grade (K-4) for Curriculum Resources. Before you describe your activities, summarize in 3-4 sentences the developmental milestones for children in of your selected age or grade in the areas of language arts and math. Do this one time at the beginning of the project. (For example, if you are looking at language and literacy in first grade students, summarize what you expect them to be capable of doing at this level.) Be sure to incorporate information discussed in class.) Select 10 activities centered around one theme for the age group or grade selected. (4 Language Arts, 2 Math, 1 Science, 1 Social Studies, 1 Art or Music, and 1 Sensory Play or Gross Motor Activity), Use the Lesson Plan format to write the lessons in your own words. Select one adaptation for a child with special needs at the end of the activity or lesson. Document the source of your activity or tell if you adapted your activity from another source.
