Purpose of the Document
The purpose of this document is to serve as an instruction manual for Principal
Investigators and Research Administrators on how to access Sponsored Programs
financial project reports, such as Detailed Trial Balances, through their CSUN portal.
Step 1:
Access of the Campus Portal
Log on to the Campus Web Portal at: https://www.csun.edu/portal/
Your portal home screen will be displayed:

Step 2:
Access of the Report Function
To access the distributed reports click on the menu path on the left side of
the screen:
The ‘Explorer’ screen will be displayed:

Step 3:
View Available Reports
By clicking on the respective icon, you will expand the folder and be able
to view all available reports in the folder. To view sponsored program
reports, such as the Detailed Trial Balance:

Open the Report Overview
Click the report link
Note: The report link is denoted with ‘DTB’ + (Project ID) + (date the
report ran).

Click the report output link to open the report.
The report will be displayed:

Step 7:
Navigation Functions
In order to navigate within the report or leave the report, you can use the
following buttons:
Click the Navigation buttons to navigate between the pages.
Click the Navigation buttons to navigate between the pages.
Click the Close button to return to the Portal.
Click the Report Manager link to return to the Report Repository folders.
