GECians: The Students
5 yrs on since the college has been started and GECians have only improved
and outshined others in various fields, whether it be sports or academics or
cultural events. The students have improved and achieved great heights and
made themselves and the college proud.
We, at GEC, believe in equality and harmonious co existence. This is shown by
the number of foreign students who are studying here and have become an
integral part of the family. All the students are given a chance to showcase their
talent in various fields with events such as cultural or technical fests,
workshops, sports week etc, where they can compete with each other and
improve their talents.

The perception of our college in every students eyes seems to be changing from
being “just a government college from Najafgarh” to “serious competitor”. All
the students and faculty members hope for the best from the students of GEC
and that GECians are successful wherever they go.
Through proGECtion, we aspire to aware the prosperity and integrity of our
campus culture. It is an effort of teachers and senior students to cultivate the
richness and purity of our college.
Words from our Principal
Dr. Vijay. Kumar. Minocha
(Principal)
The Man behind the grand success of the Annual
Day “proGECtion” is the principal of the college
CBPGEC, Dr. V. K. Minocha. A man of words and
an inspiration for his students, he has led the college
towards a brighter future. Under his leadership, more than being assured of its
standing and credibility, the college is clearly the leading technical institution in
Delhi.
The Annual Day “proGECtion” was cultural excellence of Dr. V. K. Minocha.
The event was marked by his inaugural speech after Lamp Lightening
ceremony. In the introductory speech he addressed the students about the key to
success along with the Cultural strategies to be followed so as to always retain
our Indian Culture. Moreover, the Martyr’s Day was on the same day 23rd
March 2012 so, the speech followed the tribute to the great legends of the
Country who sacrificed their lives for the sake of our country. According to Dr.
Minocha-“This College has been on an incredible journey in the last few years.
We have a vision of being an outstanding college at the heart of an outstanding
learning community, economically, culturally and socially.” Students were quite
affected from his words.
As a motivational guru, he has inspired the students to become a quality leader.
The introduction speech has made a long lasting impact on the students. It has
motivated them to continue the legacy of a marvelous institution flourishing
under a true leader.
All about proGECtion 2012
proGECtion, is the word denoted by accent to “PROJECTION” which reflects
the culture, environment, and academics efforts of our college
CBPGEC, Jaffarpur, Delhi. Another reason to disturb the word PROGECTION
to proGECtion was so as to highlight our college’s most common name
“Government Engineering College(GEC)”. It is an effort of teachers and senior
students to cultivate the richness and purity of our college.

Me n My Shadow
Music is the language of soul. All the stress and suffering associated with the
rigors of the age we live in, vanishes when one surrenders to the realm of music.
These events emphasized the importance of music in our lives as we were
treated to an extravaganza where the performers had the audience enchanted and
asking for encores. At the receiving end were the audience who were certainly
not complaining and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The Event Me n My
Shadow which was coined for the Solo Singing begun with great enthusiasm. A
number of contestants participated in that few with Karaoke’. Moreover the
Judges were judging very minutely on every performance.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
We express our sincerest thanks to the Principal, the Dean and faculty members
for their consistent support which crucially contributed to our efforts in the right
direction and provided the wherewithal required for amateurs like us.
Last but definitely not the least we would like to express our admiration for the
junior fellows who did not take long to break barriers and form good relations
with us which is critical to the success of any institute.
They were receptive and innovative with their approach and supported us
wholeheartedly, our heart goes out to our worthy successors and we expect
them to take charge of such events in the future and do a commendable job, we
thank all our juniors once again appreciative of the fact that it did not take them
long to blend with us, despite the problems of intense heat and distance which
they braved admirably and contribute significantly in all our ventures for the
college
