Amended Minutes of the 5/21/2007 UGCC Meeting 1. Provost Office – Proposing New Degree Program.doc – Procedure / outline provided by Dr. Bonhomme for committee discussion. The committee members reviewed the document and noted the following: A. This document lacks what this committee needs. It only serves the Provost’s purpose at this time. The Committee would like to see it incorporate what is needed to be brought to the UGCC committee as well, such as the need for each program to have (1) a flowchart, and (2) all courses that need to be approved, including the forms for the new courses. B. The committee would like there to be a short form for Minor Degrees such that one questions could be answered – i.e., “Does this minor require additional resources?” If the answer to that question is no, then the rest of this proposal would be unnecessary. C. The committee members asked that Dr. Bonhomme be thanked for his initial foray into building this document. D. The committee members asked that Dr. Bonhomme be apprised that the committee would be willing to take this up in the fall 2008 semester. E. Dr. Bonhomme asked Chair of UGCC to draft changes and resubmit as he would like to have this approved and in place sooner rather than later [Note to all members.] 2.
