 You read only words that will help you get the
sense of the text
 Usually you need to read the first paragraph
carefully, because here is the part that gives the
author’s ideas or opinion
 You can look at the beginning of each following
paragraphs, and skip some unimportant details
 Then, the last part should be read carefully
because this usually contains the summary of the
passage
