September 19, 2008 News from Miss Jusianiec’s 1st grade Class Great week! Our butterflies have made their chrysalis’! We put them in our net and we are watching them in our classroom. Two more weeks and we will have beautiful butterflies. We have done all sorts of butterfly activities such as: learning about the parts, symmetry, painting, and reading books. Fundations is going wonderfully! Each day we learn a new letter, and do several activities. Please keep working with your child, as it is a big help in their development, especially in reading and writing. We will be testing first graders on their brain words and trick words in the next few weeks, and will share their results- so that we can help to assure progress and monitoring.
