Lesley Oakes, M.S., CCC-SLP Adjunct Instructor oakesla@longwood.edu Lesley attended Longwood College from 1998-2002. There, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Following her graduation from Longwood, she attended Radford University and subsequently earned a Master Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2004. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and has been diligently working on her dissertation, titled “Utilization of Forehead Reflectance Pulse Oximetry as an Objective Tool in the Detection of Pulmonary Aspiration.” Overall, she is a down-to-earth kind of gal! She enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities, spending time with her family and friends, and sharing each and every day with her sweetheart; John! In her words, “He is my rock, my prince charming, and the absolute love of my life.”
