This Brochure dated 1/1/2011 is a new document prepared according to the SEC’s new requirements and rules. As such, this Document is materially different in structure and requires certain new information that our previous brochure did not require. In the future, this Item will discuss only specific material changes that are made to the Brochure and provide clients with a summary of such changes. We will also reference the date of our last annual update of our brochure. In the past we have offered or delivered information about our qualifications and business practices to clients on at least an annual basis. Our firm provides fee-only financial advice primarily to individuals, but may advise a business. Steven S. Erickson is the sole owner and advisor. Adviser does not manage portfolios or assets. Adviser typically maintains an ongoing relationship with Clients, billing for requested tasks. Predominantly Advisor advise Client how to provide and income to sustain Client’s lifestyle during retirement. Item 5 – Fees and Compensation Adviser is compensated typically on an hourly basis, but is permitted to offer a flat-fee arrangement. Client is billed directly and is often billed to bring his account current and to cover further estimated billing in accordance with the engagement agreement. Typically an initial deposited is required to begin an engagement and the Client is billed as hours accrue. Rates range from $120 to $240 per hour depending upon the set of tasks or circumstances about which Client wishes Adviser to perform or give advice. Fees are negotiable for special situations. Client is responsible for third party service or product costs, fees, or expenses incurred by Client or Adviser on behalf of Client. If Client terminates the engagement and a residual of any advanced payment remains after an accounting for fees, expenses, hours expended on Client’s behalf, this residual is returned within 7-days of the final accounting. After 48-hours, no part of the initial deposit is refundable if Client terminates, but a pro rata portion is returned if Adviser terminates the engagement. Item 6 – Performance-Based Fees and Side-By-Side Management Not applicable. Item 7 – Types of Clients Adviser typically accepts middle to high net worth or above average income individuals. Item 8 – Methods of Analysis, Investment Strategies and Risk of Loss Not Applicable Item 9 – Disciplinary Information Registered investment advisers are required to disclose all material facts regarding any legal or disciplinary events that would be material to your evaluation of Erickson Financial Solutions, LLC or the integrity of Erickson Financial Solutions, LLC’s management. Erickson Financial Solutions, LLC has no information applicable to this Item. 1 Item 10 – Other Financial Industry Activities and Affiliations Adviser has relationship with Fee-only Investment Advisors in that the owner of Adviser, Steven S. Erickson, is the 100% owner of Fee-only investment Advisors, LLC. Fee-only investment Advisors, LLC is a separate registered investment advisory firm and performs the same functions as Adviser plus manage investment portfolios. Commonly, individuals are clients of both firms, one for financial planning related services and one for investment services. Neither firm shares any fees. Item 11 – Code of Ethics Objectivity: Adviser strives to be as unbiased as possible in providing advice to clients and Adviser practices on a fee-only basis. Confidentiality: Adviser shall keep all client data private unless authorization is received from the client to share it. Adviser shall treat all documents with care and take care when disposing of them. Relations with clients shall be kept private. Competence: Adviser shall strive to maintain a high level of knowledge and ability. Adviser shall attain continuing education at least at the minimum level required for NAPFA membership. Adviser shall not provide advice in areas where they are not capable. Fairness & Suitability: Dealings and recommendation with clients will always be in the client's best interests. Adviser puts their clients first. Integrity & Honesty: Adviser will endeavor to always take the high road and to be ever mindful of the potential for misunderstanding that can accrue in normal human interactions. Adviser will be diligent to keep actions and reactions so far above board that a thinking client, or other professional, would not doubt intentions. In all actions, Adviser should be mindful that in addition to serving our clients, we are about the business of building a profession and our actions should reflect this. Regulatory Compliance: Adviser will strive to maintain conformity with legal regulations. Full Disclosure: Adviser shall fully describe method of compensation and potential conflicts of interest to clients and also specify the total cost of investments. Professionalism: Adviser shall conduct itself honorably all times. Adviser strives for integrity, honest treatment of clients, and treating people with respect. This code is available upon request to prospects and clients. Adviser does not manage assets or sell insurance, hence, does not take positions adverse or in conflict to Client’s interests. Erickson: Born December 5, 1956; Graduated Wake Forest University, BA, 1979; Webster University, MBA and CRM, 1990; University of MO, Law School, JD 1993; Certified Financial Planner, 2006; Accredited Wealth Management Advisor, 2006. Recent business background: Co-owner, Fee-Only Investment Advisors, LLC 1996 to 2007, 100% owner 2007 to present and owner of Erickson Financial Solutions, LLC, 2004 to present. Steven S. Erickson owns 100% of Erickson Financial Solutions, LLC, and 100% of Fee-Only Investment Advisors, LLC. Both are registered investment advisors solely registered under the State of Missouri jurisdiction. Client is offered the services of the more convenient firm. No fee sharing or referral fee. Advisor and Steven Erickson participate in no other businesses. 3
