Distance learning is something that is probably familiar to this generation. Electronic learning is the new field in today’s technology. Johnstone, a director of the Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications claims, “even though well over twothirds of the colleges and universities in the U.S. now report offering some type of distance learning, there is still no easy way to describe a typical distance learner’s experiences” (Johnstone, 14). Many older people are having a harder time to adjust to the new type of distance learning. There will be needed time to regulate these new learning opportunities. In the years to come, we will be asking, what does that mean? Works Cited Johnstone, Sally M. “Electronic Learning Generations.” Syllabus Sept. 2001: 14.
