Very enthusiastic about the subject. Very knowledgable.
Very devoted to the students, makes time to talk and help. Email us right away when our schedule changes. Returns papers
right away. If for some reason we don’t get something done –
she understands and helps us w/it.
- She is very willing to compromise. If we have a big project due
that the class is a little behind, she will sometimes give us an
extension date. She is very personable. If you have a problem
with an assignment, she will take the time to talk about it.
- She is very open to changes + lets the class give input for some
compromises.
- Good enthusiasm for the subject. Good assignment basis. Good
choice of material-we’re covering a wide variety of Shakespeare
material.

Interesting material. Flexible. Understanding. Knowledgable.
Knowledgeable about the subject, when asked a question by the
student she answers to the best of her ability and if she doesn’t
she works hard to find the answer.
14. Identify ways this professor could be more effective.
-
-
Slow down a bit.
Be a little more enthusiastic during class. Plan fun assignments
that gets the whole class included.
Explain assignments a little better, they are kind of vague.
She could hand back papers on time.
Return assignments more timely.
Be more precise about what is expected for certain assignments.
It would be easier for students to be involved in discussion if
there were more than two students who are ever called on.
Allow more discussion. Provide better explanation of projects.
If things were better explained in class we often get assignments
where they are not explained very well.
If we could spend more time discussing certain things – not rush
through everything like we do…
Sometimes the enthusiasm causes us to be distracted. We get
into great discussions, but sometimes this causes confusion in
assignments or a lack of clarity in the purpose or original
question.
Course content is a little too heavy. We are reading too many
plays to actually enjoy them + fully understand them. It is good
to get familiar with so many different plays – but also sonnets
are important + understanding of plays is important.
15. Please give your overall evaluation of the professor.
Excellent. Sometimes she is hard to get a hold of, but once you
figure out when + where to look for her, she always makes time
for you. Also, she becomes a better teacher the more you get to
know her.
- Very good teacher, understanding, helpful – loves the subject
she teaches. One thing I would change: be more strict!
- All of her classes are great!
- Excellent.
- Good.

Margaret Dahlberg, altogether, does a good job. Sometimes the
assignments are not always explained very well, but she’ll take
the time to explain it if you need it. I have learned a lot about
this class.
I am enjoying this class and find it interesting but I wish for
more explanation in major projects.
She does a very good job in relaying information. Sometimes it
seems as though she plays favorites.
Good. She allows time for discussion. Also provides time that
you can talk to her one on one about certain assignments and is
easily approached.
She is one of the best professors on this campus. Don’t ever let
her leave.
I think that she is a good teacher.
Great!
Very good prof.
Very good, works extremely well with students.
She is excellent.
Excellent, cares about the students. Understands how life is
and the way things go.
Good.
I like Mrs. Dahlberg. I understand her teaching method and I
learn.
She really knows the material + the history which is very good she has a lot of interesting information which helps. The
response assignments are good to get us to express thoughts
about the play, but there is a lot of work. Her excitement about
Shakespeare is really evident in the amount we are reading!!!

None.
The work she gives is challenging, but then again how else will
we learn.
Not so much homework – even though projects will be good for
our portfolio, it is easy to get too stressed out with too much to
do.
It has become much easier to take her classes. She has started
asking for one page response papers, instead of 5 pages. This
makes our lives easier, not to mention the fact that we get them
back sooner and that makes everybody happy.
