Although you may study at your convenient time of the day, you must set aside specific time to study on a daily basis. It is easy to get behind unless you follow through your schedule. A basic rule of thumb is that you need two to three hours a day for a total of twelve hours per week. Of course, it is a rough figure. In general, one college-credithour requires three hours per day of study time. Difficulty of keeping up with the coursework is something that I take seriously. Should you get in that situation, please do not hesitate letting the instructor know. Course Policies: Your fellow students and I expect courtesy, respect and mature attitude. No late assignments will be accepted unless the student had an unavoidable situation such as illness. Quizzes will cover the all materials including the textbook, discussion, and other materials posted in the Web site. Students are encouraged to communicate each other with respectable manner. Individual works, including assignments, project and evaluations will be done independently of each other. In other word, students must complete and turn in their own work or they will be dismissed from the course with a failing grade, and possibly face disciplinary action from the college Grading Categories and Policy: The final grade will be based on the following criteria: Weekly textbook assignments 50% Weekly discussion assignments 15% Quizzes * Integration/Final Project assignment 20% 15% * Makeup quizzes will be given to only those students who had serious illness, experienced extraordinary situation, or obtained a prior permission from the instructor.
