1. VCSU policy, blackboard is the only learning system that the
students don’t have to get a username or password from that other

a. Passed the constitution and bylaws corrections

l. Business and Information Technologies
i. BIT DAY on Wednesday – We have over 200 local high school students
who will be on campus. This is a HUGE recruiting opportunity for the
division. We need students to help that day – they should contact myself
or Amber.
ii. Next week we kick off our “Roadshows”. Roadshows will consist of a
team of two faculty members who will travel to local/regional high
schools to inform them on the CIS major opportunities. We are kicking
off a recruiting campaign specifically focused on recruiting CIS majors.
iii. Sue and Brenda met with Bobcat on Tuesday and solidified a seamless
agreement with them for internship opportunities for students. They have
an outstanding program for students to intern with them on a 8 month time
frame.
