The front of the banknote is the old photo of Hong Kong which is
a fishing harbor and the back of the banknote is the Queen’s Pier who has
already stopped being used since 26thApril, 2007.
Those photos have the similar characteristic- the harbor has to
get contact with water and the Queen’s Pier was used for the ship that
sailed along the harbor. The color BLUE represents water, therefore the
banknote is blue in color. Also, Hong Kong does not have this color of
$50 banknote yet.
And they are the past of Hong Kong, they can let the Hong Kong
people not to forget the past and remember the best moment of Hong
Kong.
