Curriculum
 Secret Saturdays (A novel for young readers)
The primary learning expectations to be successful in
this course follow:
1. Arrive to class prepared (with pencils, folder,
and notebook), on time, and ready to work.
2. Believe in your value as an individual and
learner.
3. Be prepared to work hard.
4. Know that if you find yourself struggling
academically, help is available to you. Make an
appointment with the teacher for additional
help.
5. Go to the restroom prior to arriving to class. We
are in the back (room T-28), and the journey
back into the building causes you to miss
valuable instruction. In addition, you pass the
facilities in route to T-28.
If you are absent, make up work, including worksheets
and notes, will be placed in an area of the classroom
marked exactly: MAKE UP ASSIGNMENTS.
*You have an entire week to turn in the assignment(s);
after a week, the maximum grade you may receive is
70%.
Assignments
HISD Policy:
Regular attendance and punctuality shall be required of
every student. Students have the responsibility to take
advantage of their educational opportunity by
attending all classes daily and on time unless
circumstances prevent them from doing so.
Students will be expected to positively participate in
