The Committee discussed the template proposal and agreed on
changes – to incorporate core outcomes as a simple checklist under
“M.”.

For 5 Column and Core Outcomes (WAC, SpAC, CAAP) Assessment
Reporting Process: The Committee agreed that the Department Chairs
will work with the programs to facilitate assessment reporting; that
reports will be forwarded to Kate; Kate will send to Tom Prendergast
for generating summary reports and will keep the Student Success
Plan web page updated.
Window is 4/30 – 5/12 to be administered in capstone courses. Tom
suggested distribution of tests. ( ) indicates who will select courses
and contact faculty. 6 education (Teri), 17 business (Jay), 21 RN
(Janet Boeckman), 21 public service (Anne), 16 allied health (Robert),
11 digital media/CIS (Randy), 8 engineering (Randy).
The Committee agreed to incorporate CCSSE results in core outcomes
assessment.

The Committee decided to have Core Learning Outcomes Team
members stand upon introduction and to do a brief demonstration of
the Student Success Plan web site.
Report on OBR
Workshop
Terry and Teri reported on the 3/20 Student Success OBR workshop.
 A database with core outcomes linked to courses (to keep
updated ProActive Learning Outcomes Inventory/Report)
would be good. Some colleges are doing that now.
 We’re in good shape compared to other colleges.
 About 5 out of 6 colleges are using or planning to use e-

 Other colleges were impressed with our course syllabus
template with linked outcomes and assessment methods.
Paul Sukys (Culture and Community) Core Outcomes Team is the
only team to submit a project proposal. As a result, consideration of
team proposals was postponed until next meeting.

Terry volunteered to complete the proposal for the Critical Thinking
Team.
Next Meetings
PAC will probably need proposals by the end of the month.
Meetings will be at 3:00 on Tuesdays, 4/17, 5/1, 5/15, and 5/29.
Next meeting topic will be consideration of Core Team Project
Proposals.
Subsequent meetings will address planning for core outcomes
assessment, to discuss assessment days, e-portfolios, a core outcomes
transcript, embedded assessment in capstone courses, etc.
