Daily Objective: Students will learn the various techniques for shooting in handball. 1. TEKS/AP/Standards: I will be able to demonstrate consistency using all the basic offensive skills of a sport while participate in a game such as dribbling, batting, spiking. 2. I will be able to use internal and external information to modify movement during performance. How will we learn it? Learning Activities: Warm-Up (10-15 Minutes) Activity: (40 Minutes) a. Students find a spot on a wall. Students will practice 1. A regular standing shot. 2. A bounce shot. 3. A running shot. 4. A dribble then a shot. b. Students will stand around the outside of the goalies crease. Without a goalie in the net, students will all shoot at the same time, once everyone has shot, everyone will retrieve their ball at the same time. c. Now with a goalie in the net, 4 lines are formed around the outside of the goalie’s crease. All 4 balls are shot at the same time and everyone will retrieve their ball at the same time and passed to the next student in the line. d. Review of passing: a. Keep Away. Two teams of equal numbers, from two members upward, scattered throughout the designated area. The members of one team try to keep the ball from the members of the other team through passing, dribbling and moving about as per the basic rules of handball. The ball is awarded the opponents if a team member holds the ball more than three seconds, takes more than three steps or allows the ball to go out of the designated area. Closure: (3-5 Minutes a.
